The airport features a large, well-maintained asphalt runway that facilitates easy take-offs and landings.

NOTAMs
A revised no-fly zone is in effect for southbound descent during NOTAM (typically on weekdays between 13.15 and 13.45 local time) at the end of the 24th downwind, due to blasting works at Ihalainen mine.
The field houses Shell fuel distribution for JET A-1. Confirm fuel availability via NOTAMs or maintenance.

- The Aviation Association hall features a cafeteria and a hall area.
- In summer or at other times, for large groups, the Karelian Aviation Museum is available.
- Aviation memorials are located in front of the airport and in the square outside Prisma.
Lappeenranta offers a variety of sights and experiences for all tastes. Visit visitlappeenranta.fi to learn more about the attractions and the diverse activities available in Lappeenranta. The city centre is approximately 2 km from the airport, with a regular bus service connecting the two. Lidl, Prisma, and Kotipizza are about 1 km from the airport.
Lappeenranta Aviation Association ry
Lappeenranta Aviation Association ry, established in 1932, operates at Lappeenranta Airport. The association owns two motor planes and four sailplanes, which are actively used during the summer. Its members are available to assist and answer questions. The association offers:
• a large club room with a cafeteria, attended by members
• hall and meeting space available for hire
